I had to stop and reflect on the image above. I'm fascinted that all humans (except those few in space) are on that little circle called Earth. If only we could all understand how getting along could make everything better.

ReplyDeleteWasn’t it Rodney King who asked, “Why can’t we all get along?” I think we know the answer, John, and it makes me sad. We will go to war over space as surely as we have gone to war here on Earth. In the meantime the eagles will go about their business undeterred by all of this. I wish them well. Its a long article, so be sure to read it all. I grew several types during my apartment living in my late thirties and early forties. I was in love with the single petal ones and my all time favorite was 'Apple Blossom', although I remember a deep red one I also liked.
Your poem, created for me, was very beautiful. You have a way of making me feel very good about myself as I read your comments. I love the NASA Earth shot from the moon. My only, seemingly futile, hope is that we would learn to control ourselves, so nature could still have enough space to co-exist with us. Anyway, the photo is fantastic. I'm very happy for Jackie's two healthy chicks, and your pop of spring color on your walk makes me smile also.

Nature is miraculous in all it’s aspects though seeing it often makes it appear normal to us , these chicks aren’t exception ,their journey from eggs to having solid body is interesting and incredibly awesome. It like everything else around us shows us how laws of nature and its power is dominant on everything. It sounds stupid and sad when we question her authority !
Your favourite NASA image is also an other reflection of nature’s wonderful ways of governing everything from tiny to huge 🥹
Yes earth and numerous planets floating in space without support is impossible and God claims he is supporting them so they can not fall like everything else 🥰

Really enjoyed this update. The new eaglets at FOBBV are a wonderful reminder of how steady and remarkable nature can be when you take the time to follow it. That NASA image from Artemis II also puts things in perspective in a quiet way, seeing Earth like that tends to stay with you. Your walk and the return of colour in the neighbourhood fits nicely with it all, simple moments still matter most.

ReplyDeleteThank you for keeping us up to date on the Eagle Nest. They are so sweet at that stage. "Our" one baby (the SW Florida nest) has flown away, we wish h/h all the luck this big wide wonderful world (where all the people and all the eagles .... reside. It really was good to be able to celebrate our country again as we did with the Artemis mission! I haven't felt like celebrating much lately for sure. .... And special thanks for the stop to snap the beautiful spring flowers. I really really miss the PNW this time of year especially the daffodils! Thank you for the smiles and the Spring memories.

ReplyDeleteWe had a camera on perigrin falcon nest for 3 year's it was a lot of work But fascinating. We had it on a very high tower.
