Standoff in the Wild West Watched this for a minute or two. They paid me no mind and stayed focused on each other. Finally, the crow took flight. |

I thought it was unlucky to rename marine vessels. Looks like the Phoenix used to be Pacific Glacier. |
Many tempting benches are along the walk. Sit and relax for a while. |

Wrapping up my walk ... the Phoenix is all tied up. The Phoenix is one of many Alaska fishing vessels. |
Snapped from home ... looking to the marina where the Lonian is docked. Pretty nice vessel! How about a custom voyage? |

ReplyDeleteHello John, :=) I was so pleased to see your post, which means your break did you good, and you are feeling better. Welcome back! Here in Portugal it is 6 30 am, and it looks like it is going to be a lovely warm day. Like you, I am an early riser, and don't want to waste a minute of a summer morning. You certainly saw some interesting things on your walk. The "stand off" made me smile, not something you see every day.:=) The line of swimming geese, and cute bunny picture, are all great finds. I was not aware that changing the name of a ship was a bad omen, but Phoenix is a fine name for a fishing boat. The Lonian, is quite a streamlined vessel, but I do like the look of the smaller neat looking tourist boat. and also The Official Port of Seattle Light.
ReplyDeleteAll the best.
Hello John,
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July weekend to you! Wonderful photos from your walk. I am always amazed at the views you have of Mt. Rainier. I love the cute bunny staring down the crow. Both bunny and the geese in a row photos are cute. Great captures of the ships and fishing vessel. Your 4th of July postcard is cute. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
At least those two facing off against each other didn't have guns, and they wisely decided it wasn't worth a squabble anyway!
ReplyDeleteThat first shot is great. The crow can’t believe he’s looking at too much food to handle.
ReplyDeleteLove the shot of the sea-doo and the cargo ship together. Amazing that both can float!
Mt. Rainier is always a winning shot in my book.
Love the various boats and ships. Do you ever get tired watching them? I don’t think I would.
It's always nice to see what you post, and it makes my day much brighter when I see your pictures. Lovely shots. I'd love to sit on that bench and watch the world go by. Have a great Fourth of July, John.
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot of coming and going here. It's a busy place. How many photos a day do you take?
ReplyDeleteNice set of photographs. I love looking at ocean going vessels of all sorts. Don't get to do that too much here in Tulsa!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and interesting collection of photos. Great capture of the bunny and the crow.
ReplyDeleteI forgot it was the 4th July coming up not that we celebrate here. I see your camera is still serving you well or have you swapped it. Like how you zoomed in on that bunny and crow, nicely spotted
ReplyDeleteWhat cute bunny pics. I love the ships and would like to see them some day. It's too hot to walk here so I should be there for the summer! Enjoy the holiday weekend!
ReplyDeleteAs you may have noticed, I'm back in Blogland. Good to see your interesting pictures.
ReplyDeleteHappy July wishes John.
ReplyDeleteLovely collection of photographs, you always provide a great selection.
We have squirrels in our garden which I enjoy watching, although they can be a little annoying when they dig up a new plant that's just been put in! But it is lovely to be out in the garden, or going for walks and enjoying nature.
Both Eddie and I wish you a happy and healthy week ahead.
All the best Jan
I prefer to view your blog on my larger-screen PC because it makes the photos much more vivid. You capture so much variety in your walks. Thank you for sharing with your blog with all of us.
ReplyDeleteI like the standoff photo, certainly not something you see everyday, and it ended well too. I didn't know about not renaming a marine vessel, I suppose they found a loophole by naming her Phoenix. Mt. Rainier looks gorgeous. Beautiful photos, John!! They always brighten my day.
