July 30 - Rowing on Green Lake
Hello followers and visitors --- Thanks for stopping by John's Island. For those who have been with us for the last week or so, you will know that we are walking about 3 miles around Green Lake each morning and trying to find some little something from the experience to share here on the Island. While walking this morning we spotted a few folks dedicated to a different and excellent form of exercise. According to Wiki, "Rowing is one of the few non-weight bearing sports that exercises all the major muscle groups, including quads, biceps, triceps, lats, glutes and abdominal muscles. Rowing improves cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength." As for us, we better get a lot better at walking before we try this!

ReplyDeleteto answer your question, we're in much better shape this year in texas than we were last year. however, we're heading into the very hot, dry stretch of summer so our pond level is retreating again - but it is normal this year. :)
