Mother's Watchful Eye - July 28


We found this little family right next to the lake this morning. Mom is keeping a close eye on her little ducklings.  The little ones are just a mass of fuzziness.  Even by prying in with a close-up (below) I'm not sure how many are there.  Five or six?

    How dear. Are people pretty good about leaving them alone? Since I moved to the Northwest, I've noticed a greater, overall gentleness here toward the wild things among us. :)
