Merry Christmas

December 23, 2018  10:14 AM
Looking west from Seattle to the Olympic Mountains
While looking through my postcard collection for a card to share this holiday, suddenly the clouds to the west parted and the morning sun brightened the fresh snow on the Olympic Mountains. I thought ... maybe I can make my own post card and that is what you see above.

After snapping the photo, I continued looking for a paper card and the one I found is shown below. It's pretty old ... probably early 1900s. Hope you have a fine celebration be it Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa.

A Merry Christmas

Thanks for stopping by John's Island.

  1. Hi JOHN,
MERRY CHRISTMAS to You and Family - Best Wishes from KEV. (Sydney AUSTRALIA). Whilst you have snow there in Seattle we have 35Deg C for Christmas Day...the Air Conditioner is certainly on- and a bit hot to sit in the Shed and work on my Modelling to-day. Have a great time there in Seattle. Cheers. KEV.

  2. Wow, impressive mountain view! Where I live in south-west Sweden we have no snow for Christmas, but the temperatures are hovering around 0'C, i.e. freezing point. Today looks like it's going to be sunny, though.
