Hummingbird Feeder Replaced

I've been feeding hummingbirds for 3 years now. Exposure to the weather, and especially direct sunlight, has taken a toll on my feeder. It worked well, but it's time for a new one.

Here are a few photos taken during the last 3 years while using my first hummer feeder.

Female Anna's Hummingbird

Lucky capture. Hummers don't like to share a feeder.
Occasionally they will and it's unusual to see 3 at once.

My favorite photo snapped at sunset.

And now, my new feeder ...

In use now for about 3 weeks and it does seem to
be popular with the little birds.

How do you like the looks of the new feeder?

Linking up with Saturday's Critters ... check it out.

  1. Your feeder lived a good life feeding many grateful hummers. The top of the new one is colorful and beautiful. Looks like glass, but I could be wrong. Anyway, it looks very classy. I can see why the sunset hummingbird is your favorite. It's mine also. I haven't kept up with blogs lately, but I was happy to see your post.

  6. Around here they're a rare, fleeting sight. Once or twice I've seen two at once, fighting, using their beaks like swords, tiny but scary.

  8. Hello John :=)
    I like your new feeder and so do the hummingbirds, which is the most important thing. Your photos of the hummers are delightful, and the one caught at sunset exceptional. I have never seen a Hummingbird where I live, unfortunately they are not from my part of the world, but I once saw one in Brasil. You're a lucky man to have them visit you,, but I know you know that.:=)
    Enjoy your weekend
    All the best
    Sonjia.
