Halloween or Hallowe'en is a celebration observed in many
countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Saints'
Day. It begins the observance of Allhallowtide, the time in the liturgical year
dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints, martyrs, and all the
faithful departed.
The images are decorations ... not at my house ... but in the neighborhood nearby. There are so many decorations, but these are two I admire.
Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween John! I like seeing the neighbors Halloween
ReplyDeletedecorations. Take care, have a great day!
Happy Halloween John! Halloween is not big here in Portugal, no trick or treat, and no garden decorations, but I enjoyed seeing the colourful decorations in your neighbourhood. Yes tomorrow people will be visiting cemeteries and placing flowers on loved ones graves. This is the tradition here- Florists make beautiful floral decorations.

Happy Halloween John!
ReplyDeleteSounds thrilling type of celebration through the movies and shows. Must be fun in actual as well. Family gathering is best part indeed.
I enjoyed looking at your pics from neighbourhood Halloween decorations: ) quite an art work.
Both are smiling and bring smiles to those who look at them. I wonder when the celebration of Halloween became a month-long holiday!
ReplyDeleteJan is right. Hallowe’en has become a season!
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween.
ReplyDeleteStay warm and healthy.
Halloween seems to be dying here. A few houses decorated their homes in a decidedly minimalist fashion, and a few even over the top with obscene displays of rampant consumerism, and more than a little poor taste. I think that Halloween was moribund before COVID and the pandemic probably drove the nail into the coffin a little deeper - a fitting analogy for All Hallow's Eve!
ReplyDeleteNice to see the decorations.
