From our collection, this old advertisement is from The American Magazine. The ad appeared in the July, 1927, edition. The magazine was published monthly by The Crowell Publishing Company which later merged with Collier's. According to Wikipedia, The American Magazine was published by Crowell-Collier until it folded in 1956.

Our question for you today: Have you ever heard of Kellogg's PEP before?

Thank you for stopping by John's Island.

  3. I'm not old enough to know them :))
But I do know Kellogg's, there is just
too much sugar added to be that
    healthy anymore :)
Today I prefer the whole wheat and
    fruit stuff.

    Have a beautiful day!

  6. Hi John, I haven't had the cereal. I don't think they sold it in my area and/or it might have been discontinued by the time I came along ;-)

    1. Hi Red, Despite its pluses, Pep faded from popularity as public tastes changed, and the brand was discontinued in the late 1970s.
