Around the world it takes 26 hours for the New Year to encompass all time zones. There are actually 39 different time zones. We're posting this at 6 AM December 31 in Seattle and it is already Jan 1st in New Zealand and parts of Australia.

    Still the 31st here too although I will enjoy seeing new year around the globe on the news, my own personal favourite being Sydney Harbour Bridge. Happy New Year.

    I wonder if those birds on the card are an actual species or if the artist dressed them up a bit. In any case they are very pretty with all the red. Thanks so much for being a great blogging friend in 2016. May the Lord bless you with every joy this new year!
