Speed Boat & Eagle - Aug 5 - Green Lake

Spotted a bald eagle at Green Lake this morning. The first shot is looking to the northeast from the trail, then moved around to the other side of the tree to get a little more sunlight on the subject.  Pretty happy with the results from the RX100.  To give you an idea of the image capture detail, the bottom shot shows the full picture (of the second close-up) before cropping. (Click on pics for larger view and be sure to watch the video in HD)

The other highlight of this morning's walk ... seeing my first speed boat on Green Lake!

---> Walking around Green Lake daily and trying to find a little something to share on John's Island. The walk is 2.8 miles and the time depends on how many photo opportunities present themselves.

As always, thank you for stopping by!

  2. I would love to be able to spot an eagle! I watched some ospreys last summer and thought they were magnificent.
