Now and Then Fall Colors

Aspen trees in the Rocky Mountains as they appeared a few days ago ...

The same trees 8 years ago (2006) about 2 weeks later in the season ...

Thank you for stopping by John's Island. Thank you to all who leave me the kind and encouraging comments!

  3. Beautiful photographs of the changing leaves! I like that you returned to the scene and took some more images. It's always interesting to note the changes over the years. You captured the stunning autumn colors beautifully, John!

  4. John, I remember that once the trees turned colors, it wasn't long until they were gone from the trees completely....and then it was raking time!

  8. Just beautiful, John! What strikes me is just how it looks so much like where my mother lives.

By the way, I too found that Fall here isn't as vibrantly coloured as in days gone by. I think it may have something to do with the weather (heat/humidity) which also played havoc with some gardens like mine :-(
