Seasons -- Summer and Winter

One of our followers recently left a comment that we should try "then and now" photos with the vintage Yellowstone Postcards.  We think it is a great idea.  You know ... take the postcard into the Park and see how the scene looks today.  It reminded John of a photo where he did something like that.  While driving a back road in late summer in Montana John passed a scenic spot ... a little creek in a ravine, lots of cattails ... pretty.  He thought he would snap a photo of the spot and then come back in mid-winter to see how it looked then.  Here is the result ...


It's a country kinda thing!

  1. The Guardian (in the UK) just did something similar: they put pictures of D-Day in 1944 and when you click on the picture, you see what it looks like today. Very impressive. I've enjoyed the old Yellowstone pictures very much just the way they appear in the vintage postcards. :-)
