10 Oversize Pictorial Postcards -- ca 1920 -- [2]

We started yesterday, now here are a few more cards ...

307.  In the Wheat Fields of Montana -- G.N.R.R.
You may have noticed on the cover of this set of cards a "No. 2" in a small square box upper left. (Photo of the cover posted yesterday.) We assume there is at least one more set ... No. 1 ... and possibly more. The way the cards themselves are numbered, we wonder if different cards were placed in a set just depending on the whim of the packager or requests by purchaser.
250.  Mt. Hood and City of Portland, Oregon

310.  John Smith, Oldest Indian living in Minnesota
A few more cards tomorrow. These views are so nice we don't want to overload you with all of them at one time. : - )  Thank you for stopping by John's Island.

  1. They really are nice. I wonder what a picture of Portland would look like today, taken from the same vantage point. Very different, I expect. :-)

  2. They are all beautiful and I do like the shot of Portland with Mr. Hood in the background.

  4. P.S. Thank you for visiting my blog. I think you may be quite right about the humidity and heat affecting the garden because after the deluge of rain earlier this week, the garden looks better (except of course for the plants that have already dried out altogether).
