From our collection of old postcards we found this one featuring the Pioneer Limited, and, according to the card, "The Only Perfect Train in the World." This card, mailed almost 114 years ago, on August 14, 1900, has many curiosities.
This was an "En Route" card ... one you might pick up on the train, while travelling, so that you could fill out the message and address, ready to be mailed at a stop along the way or when you reached your destination.
Thank you for stopping by John's Island.
