  1. Oklahoma is a very interesting one, with a scissor-tail and mistletoe, which I didn't even know is a flower. I thought it was a parasite! :-)

  2. John, I like the flycatcher. So just how many states have a cardinal as the state bird? There have been many so far, and I thought my home state of Illinois was the only one.

  4. Oh I do like the flycatcher! I think some of the birds I have seen in more than one state. I do like that our (California) bird is the quail, you don't see that one too often either.
