May 23 - Duckling Day at Green Lake

Whole bunch of ducklings ...
Not my FIRST snap on today's walk, but the one I like BEST. :-)
Whole bunch of ducklings.
At Green Lake, May 23rd
Today in Seattle started off with thick fog. I decided to delay my walk until the fog burned off. This is sort of typical weather for this time of year. I was able to get underway by about 11 AM and walked under blue skies with warm temps. I was completely comfortable in a short sleeve shirt and no jacket at all. Good day for sun glasses! Great 3-mile walk and, as always, some things surprised me like the bunch of ducklings!

They are right next to (I assume) their mom.
The mom is looking at one who seems to be "out of the bunch"
with a rather scornful look.

Thankful to see all the little ducklings so linking up with Michelle's Thankful Thursday. Thanks, Michelle, for hosting.

Near the beginning of today's walk.
Blue sky and WARM!

Can't get enough of the yellow iris.
Lots of blooms in a patch on the east side of the lake.

Relaxing.

Not-so-old guy reading the newspaper.
Yes, there are still people who read the newspaper!
And, have a Starbucks along side.

This looks fun.
I'm just not sure if the water is warm enough for me
to give it a try. :-)
