April 16 at Green Lake

April 16, Walk around Green Lake, Seattle ...

Hadn't even arrived at Green Lake ... had to pull over to snap this sunrise today!
This view is looking east over south Lake Union toward the Cascade Mountains.
Yes, we have lots of lakes here!

The heron decides to move to a new location ...

First spotting of a heron this morning.

On my way to a new spot!

They walk elegantly but with purpose!

Hmmmm ... maybe I'll rest here for a while.

Nice to see you, Heron
I think they are a little picture shy.

The walk is done ... clouds are still about the same but no more sun
peeking through to add the color.

  1. ...what a way to start your day. I took a walk in the park and saw a turkey and than had the opportunity to drive home with a bunch more. Enjoy the rest of your day.

  6. Hi John. Lots going on there about Green Lake..the UASC cargo ship is huge - loads of containers...just amazing that the ship can negotiate the seas as it certainly does look 'top-heavy'- though I guess the ship's architects have worked that out long ago in the test-tank. Great Post. Cheers. KEV.
