April 11 at Green Lake

A rainy morning at Green Lake, Seattle, WA ...

Just arrived at Green Lake and snapped this through the windshield.
A little too much rain to have the camera out in the open.
Maybe I need to consider a waterproof camera?

Keep being fascinated by the puddles.
Momentary thought ... Selfie? Nope. :-)

Another walk around Green Lake is done.
Notes to self ...

Interesting ... yesterday I got more comments about the "Notes to self" than about the pictures from the walk. Just following up on that ... If you love your phone that's fine with me. I have to admit, I wouldn't want to be without one myself.

Today is Thursday and I'm going to link up with Michelle's Thankful Thursday. Michelle has a great blog! Well, today I'm especially thankful for Green Lake and the path that provides me a wonderful walk that seems to be different, in some way, every day. It isn't lost on me to be thankful to Seattle's Founders, who had enough love for their fellow beings to put the path in instead of opening up the Lake to developers. If it was developed today I'll bet the one-percenters would build right up to the water and too bad for the rest of us. Ahhh... that's a whole nother story I better not get into today. :-)

  2. Hello, it is a nice walk and pretty views of the lake and trees. Your GB Heron sighting is becoming a regular. I am glad the lake area was not opened to developers. Green Space is important. Enjoy your day, have a great weekend ahead!

  3. ...I have a roomy rain jacket and my cameras fit under it. For the most part I can keep them dry and carry a cloth to wipe them down. I love what I call puddle art, I guess it dates back to when I was a kid and loved the splash in mud puddles. I really haven't outgrown it.

  4. I too need to get back to long walks with Lily. This awful winter in Minnesota made it was to easy to turn into a "couch potato". I gotten shot records from our local vet and can take out GSD to Cottagewood Memory Care. There Bar and I can take long dog walk and even bring her into the facility as Lily will sit still for as long and anybody want to pet her...:)
